We’re committed to creating a safe, inclusive workplace that reflects our customers and our communities – where people can feel they belong and thrive.
We focus on representing the customers and communities we serve and provide products with great customer outcomes. We actively encourage different thoughts and ideas, enabling debate and innovation that drives increased business success. We strive to attract and retain the best talent and to support all our people in reaching their full potential.
We continue to invest in initiatives and programmes to create change and to provide opportunities for our people.
Diversity targets for our senior employees
We’re pleased to have further improved our representation of women within our senior leadership to 43% in FY24, having passed our original gender diversity target (40%) last year. We recognise there is more to do to tackle ethnic diversity within The AA, where we are not yet at our target of 10% We are committed to continuing to invest in programmes to support both of these areas.
We also continue to make progress in lowering our mean and median gender pay gaps across The AA. Further information on diversity and inclusion and gender pay gaps can be found here.
Health and safety is always front of mind at The AA. We want to ensure our people and members get home safely every day.
To make this happen we have a dedicated team of health and safety professionals that deploy best practice internally and externally. We also have an extensive programme of health and safety training for all staff, and enhanced training and assessments for higher risk roles in the field. We also undertake risk-based safety awareness campaigns to reduce harm to our community, members, staff, suppliers and contracted parties.
We’re proud that our health and safety programme has been awarded the Royal Society for the Prevention of Accidents (RoSPA) for the fifth year running and the team also won Health & Safety Team of the Year at the 2023 SHE awards.
